Last updated 8 August 2026. How BallotCampaign collects, uses, and protects your data.

What we collect

We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the campaign:

How we use it

To process donations, issue receipts, coordinate volunteers, and publish a transparent ledger of campaign finances. We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Public attribution

Donor identities are kept private unless you opt-in to public attribution at the time of donation. The transparency dashboard shows aggregate figures by default; individual donors are listed only with explicit consent.

Security

All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). The campaign ledger is hash-chained — any tampering after the fact is provably detectable.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise these rights, email privacy@balloteye.ng from the address you used to register.

Cookies

We use a single first-party session cookie to authenticate staff into the operations console. There are no third-party advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
